The Company

Bionik Fitness & Human Performance is owned by Kerry D. Huston.  Kerry is a former National Gymnastics Champion and National Team Member with 23 years of competitive and coaching experience. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certified with the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the American Council on Exercise, and registered massage therapist with the Texas Department of Health.

BioniK Fitness is much more than a state of the fitness facility; it’s a community of exercise enthusiasts who demand a healthier quality of life.  We emphasize the importance of welcoming every person from every walk of life and helping them achieve their goals.

 

"Be BioniK!"

"Be BioniK" is a way to remind yourself daily that you can overcome any adversity, and nothing will keep you from achieving your goals. The path to total health and fitness has many hurdles along the way. Jump over them, knock them down, go through them, but don’t let them stop you.

 

Inspiration

On February 5, 1994 while competing in a World Championship Qualifying gymnastics competition, Kerry had a devastating fall from the parallel bars that left him paralyzed from the neck down. The prognosis was that he may never walk again.  After having his neck surgically reconstructed with 3 titanium plates, 6 screws, and a titanium coil disc, Kerry chose to block out all negative thoughts and go to work. With God's healing power he was able to make a full recovery.  As he made his journey back to health, the path was lined with many hurdles along the way. As he overcame hurdle after hurdle, Kerry's Father stated "he is like the Bionic Man."  The doctors and nurses agreed and it stuck.  The "C" was changed to a "K" to personalize it for Kerry.
